چکیده
Abstract This article presents the results of a study on laser ablation selected thermoplastic polymers using an economical fiber with scanning galvanometer system and IR wavelength λ = 1064 nm. The aimed to develop comparative characteristics processes commonly used constructional thermoplastics, namely acrylonitrile butadiene styrene terpolymer (ABS), polystyrene (PS), poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET), polylactide (PLA), polyamide 6 (PA6). tested materials were determined, depth surface structures calculated presented. A analysis contact angle, free energy, strength adhesive connections modified radiation unmodified was performed. showed that dynamics much higher in ABS, PS, PET, PC than PLA PA6. Although modification layer polymeric material did not have significant impact energy wettability sample surface, it increased even several times (in PET) lowest consumption. also demonstrated some polymers, such as ABS or can be effectively treated near-infrared this wavelength, which is particularly important for marking details.

Study of laser ablation using nano-second laser pulses
In this paper, the laser ablation process based on the irradiation of nanosecond pulsed lasers on a copper target surface in the presence of Helium gas is studied. The dynamical behaviors of the generated plasma in the helium gas and evaporated copper at the atmospheric pressure are examined using a laser pulse, laser wavelength of and intensity of 7×1010W/cm2. A one-dimensional thermal model ...
متن کاملBulk model of laser ablation of polymers
The model of laser ablation driven by a bulk photothermal reaction is considered. Stationary wave solutions are obtained and analyzed. In the case of a simple photothermal bond-breaking reaction, it is possible to reduce this bulk ablation model to the surface evaporation model with some apparent activation energy. A more complicated model of laser ablation, taking into consideration a photothe...

UV laser ablation of polymers was discovered 20 years ago.1,2 This effect has many fascinating applications in lithography, micromechanics, and medicine. For the last 20 years, more than 103 papers describing this phenomenon were published (see, e.g., comprehensive reviews, refs 3-7). Despite the high research activity, the nature of UV laser ablation of polymers is still far from being fully u...

Though all these lasers would have some effect on melanin, three wavelength bands are most useful for treating pigmented lesions green, red, and infrared.[1] Its not only about the wavelength, it is more about the right pulse duration and at sufficient fluence. Since green and blue light lasers are long pulsed continuous waves, they cause a ...

1 AAN013 shear rate behavior. For example, gauge variation can be caused by variable post-extrusion die swell, and warpage can occur from non-uniform relaxation during cooling of an improperly formulated injection molding compound. Also, by testing at low enough shear rates so that the measurements are in the melt’s linear viscoelastic region, the data can be linked directly to the polymer’s mo...
